An enhancement of the National Cowboy Museum’s archive experience, transforming static collections into dynamic, touch-friendly exhibits.
My Role
As part of a cross-functional team, I collaborated with developers to design intuitive and interactive interfaces that bring the museum’s archives to life, leading the UX and visual design process.
The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum wanted to make its extensive archives more accessible to visitors. The collection—filled with historic photographs, membership records, and award documentation—was rich in content but difficult to explore through traditional exhibit formats. Visitors needed an engaging and intuitive way to experience these stories and connect with the museum’s legacy of Western heritage.
The Solution
Our team collaborated with the museum and the Dickinson Research Center to design a suite of large-format, touch-enabled exhibits that bring the archives to life. Through curated digital collections, interactive visuals, and media-rich storytelling, we transformed static materials into immersive experiences that invite exploration. The result is a seamless blend of design, technology, and history—inviting visitors to discover and celebrate the enduring spirit of the American West.
